the Art of analog
When I was approached about the Anniversary issue, immediately it came to me “What a perfect moment to create an Analog image“. Shooting an 1980’s styled ad campaign inspired by “Miami Vice“ was my first thought. What better than a beautiful Alfa Romeo Duetto with a lot of loud colours. I shot this on Kodak Portra 400, I did clean up the scanned image with photoshop. Happppy 40th Anniversary!!

the Art of analog vs digital…
The images below were shot on PhaseOne medium format digital camera. I used the digital camera to dial in the lighting before shooting with the film camera. Just look at the difference in film stock and digital… Grainy vs Smooth, Saturated vs Tone and just the overall vibe of film. I will be shooting a lot more film through 2025, a year of change. I am loving it already!!
